Indianapolis Newborn Photographer – Finnegan Joseph

Things have been busy in the Stewart household! Our little munchkin, Finnegan Joseph, surprised us by being born 3 weeks early! He was 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 1/4″ long. Things went very smoothly for me during my labor and delivery, other than the fact that I was completely surprised at how early he arrived. I had to be induced with Liam, and was almost 41 weeks when Liam was born. So you can imagine my surprise when I was admitted to the hospital!
I’ve included some pictures here from a Fresh 48 session I did with Finn while we were still in the hospital. A lot of new parents like the idea of a Fresh 48 session. These sessions are done during your stay at the hospital, and you can scheudle them at your leisure. There are still a ton of great shots you get from these sessions, and they are a little more laid back than a typical birthing session. I’ve been purposeful about keeping my “big” camera out, and capturing some of Finn’s first moments with family, as well as other “firsts”, like his first bath. My mom gave Liam his first bath, so I thought it was fitting that she gave Finn his first bath as well.
Finn is now three weeks old, and I was able to sneak some time in at my studio with him, Liam, and my husband. I know I will cherish these photos for years to come…I already feel like time is flying by with him! I can’t believe how great Liam is handling all of this change (I’m sure I just jinxed myself) and what a loving and caring big brother he is already. He loves being around Finn and asks to hold him at least once per day 🙂
