Newborn photography is something that has become very popular over the past few years. It seems as though every where you look, there is a talented newborn photographer that is available to do a session. For this reason, I am so grateful for my clients that choose me to photograph this special and unforgettable time in their lives. I know you have endless choices when it comes to choosing a photographer, so I am always honored when someone selects me to document a piece of their life. With all of that being said, my goal is to give my clients photographs that are timeless. I always honor any special request from a client to incorporate something they want in their photos. However, I absolutely love the simple, classic pictures I can give them as well. I want you to look back on your pictures in twenty years and have the same love for them as you did the first time you saw them. I’m not huge on duplicating pictures from Pinterest or other sites. For one, it’s nearly impossible to recreate the exact same thing someone else did. Part of my job is to incorporate my own creativity into my sessions. So when I am asked to give someone a picture that is something they’ve already seen somewhere else, it takes away some of my own creativity for a shot. Secondly, I believe that my clients have hired me based on the pictures they’ve seen me create, so I want to be able to deliver that type of product – not a recreated imitation of something else. Holland’s parents did such a great job of letting my creativity flow during this session. They just sat back and watched me do my thing – which is such a great feeling as a photographer! So Don and Taylor: Thank you!! I’ve known Don and Taylor for quite some time – we all went to the same high school together. It was so wonderful to see them as parents. Their love for their daughter is clearly visible, both in person and in these photos. This little lady already has her daddy wrapped around her finger! 🙂 I love the bond dads have with their daughters. Heck, I love the bond any parent has with their baby, which explains why parent shots are one of my favorite parts of a session.
This session…it may have been one of the easiest, smoothest sessions I’ve done to date. I loved everything about it: Holland’s hair, the color choices, the simplicity of things, I could go on and on…but I won’t bore you. I seriously think I could have shared every picture from her session.
