Basic Invite: The Holiday Cards You Need

How’s everyone holding up this fall season?! If you’re anything like our household, your life is a little crazy this time of year…and it doesn’t let up until after January 1st! Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, my to-do list seems to grow by the day, despite me checking things off daily!

If you’ve stuck around here for a while, then you know that I’m a Type A, planner kind of girl. I function best when I have a set plan for the things I need to accomplish. You may think I’m a little crazy, but I usually try to order our Christmas cards the first week of November. I know, I know. It seems a little early. But I’d rather them arrive to me early and then I decide when to send them out.

First things first, I go through our spreadsheet of people we send cards to. Pro tip: Save your list from year to year so you don’t have to start from scratch every time. I scan through the list each year, add or remove anyone to update the list, and voila – I know how many cards to order!

I’m really excited to share a new-to-me company I found that I’m going to be using to print our custom holiday cards this year: Basic Invite. Their quality looks amazing and they have a ton of different options for holiday cards. They also carry holiday invitations, graduation invitations, baby announcements, and even business cards! One of the things I loved about this company is that they are one of the few websites that allows customers to order a printed sample of their actual invitation before they place their final order. You can see the paper quality and how it will print, and make sure the card is perfect.

Another great feature of Basic Invite is their address capturing service that allows customers to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media to request their friends and family’s addresses. The addresses are stored in the customer’s account and can be selected during the design process. Basic Invite offers recipient address printing at no cost on all card orders! If you’re like me and you’re ready to order your Christmas cards online, Basic Invite is running a 15% off special using the code 15FF51. Now that Halloween is wrapped up, I’m planning to order my holiday cards this weekend! Happy ordering!
