Earlier this week, I made a post over on Instagram in hopes that it would resonate with the mamas out there who are doing and juggling all. the. things. lately. If you immediately read this and thought, “Yesssss. I swear there aren’t enough hours in the day!!”, then I’m right there with you.
I’m sharing the same post from Instagram over here today in hopes that you leave here feeling a little less alone than you did when you came here.
Rooting for you, mama!
Spring is finally here! This time of year always brings a sense of newness to our days. The warmer (hopefully that returns soon) weather, sunshine, greenery in nature, and longer days are all things I look forward to during this season.
But I’m going to be honest with you: this time of year also feels chaotic for me.
Balancing kids’ sports schedules, more sessions now that the weather is turning, and keeping up with regular household things seem a little harder to balance these days. The laundry is piling up. Our planned dinners aren’t going as planned. It feels like our routine is a little out of sync.
But you know what I realized the other day? Maybe this is just our new routine for a bit.
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that change is not bad. Some areas of our life feel really chaotic right now because they *are* chaotic. But it’s also really fun. Our days are filled running from math club to baseball practice to tournaments on the weekends, all while showing up for your sweet family to serve you through photos.
Are there days I just don’t get everything done on my list? Yes. But is it worth it to see how happy our boys are doing the things they love? Hell yes.
My dad always reminds me that everything is temporary. The length of temporary changes, but it’s all temporary. So I’m embracing the temporary chaos that is our life right now.
Embrace the chaos, mama. I’m right there with you.
